About

Suri alpacas that capture your heart!

While starting out small, our intentions are focused on quality rather than quantity.

We are emphasizing color in our breeding program, currently owning medium brown, dark brown, bay black and true black and will continue to follow this line in the future. We have also purchased a one-half Accoyo female to further diversify our herd, and have purchased one-quarter interest in Zumaya, a 3/4 Accoyo herdsire.  Zumaya recently won the Spirit of the Fiber Industry Award!  This is awarded to alpacas two years and older that exemplify and maintain award-winning fiber qualities.

After agisting for nearly two years and learning the ropes, we have relocated to our farm on State Route 309 just west of Mansfield, Ohio.  And oh, what a difference a year has made!  We have made improvements to our property including adding two pastures, painting the barn, adding a hay loft, and installing drain tile and limestone at the barn entrances.  We have also made some other improvements to the house: adding a garage, more gravel in the driveway, and updating the front porch.

It seems there is never a dull moment here.  We are always doing something involving the alpacas.  It keeps us busy but we delight in these fine-fleeced animals.  We have added two new crias this year: one female and one male and both of them black!  They are a joy to watch playing together, being born just six days apart.  We have done two breedings for spring crias – our first ever.  And we have completed (hopefully) breedings for three fall crias for 2010.  The show season for 2009 is wrapping up and soon the holidays will be upon us.  It has been a lot of work but we’ve accomplished so much and we are looking forward to relaxing some this winter.
